Is literary fiction dying thanks to the preponderance of MFA programs, as Ted Genoways, editor of the Virginia Quarterly Review holds? Only if you believe in deaths of the Black Knight in Monty Python variety, writes Roxane Gay.

Considering that Genoways’ original point seems to be that literary fiction is too successful, I’m going to have to hand the point to Gay.
